A Banner Year

10/25/2013

In this industry, word of mouth and "knowing someone" is how I get 95% of my business. I am grateful for how busy I am and all the recommendations. It is one of the sincerest forms of flattery to hear that a client found you from not one, not two, but SIX recommendations to use me. I am floored every day by what I have accomplished in three short seasons with the support from such great clients (like you).

Until you are a business owner, and do all the jobs at once, it is hard to understand. There is SO MUCH to do. I work long, hard hours. But I couldn't even begin to THINK about trading it in for something "easier". I work for what I have and would not have it any other way.

Every once in a while though, I realize, that I need to take time for myself so I don't burn out. I've been treating myself to one full day off every ten days or so. I said to my husband, "this is nice, I should do this more often"... his response was, "yeah, normal people have two a week." Who likes being normal any way? ;)

This summer was truly a banner year both personally and professionally.

#1: I GOT MARRIED. The clients that are Facebook friends with me heard (or read maybe) a little more about it. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have planned it in the middle of wedding season. Being THAT BUSY and trying to have a wedding of my own was 100% crazy. I was losing hair in gobs and my anxiety was through the roof. But, in the end, it was perfect and I married my best friend. My friends and family were there to witness it and it was truly beautiful. (And now I am sobbing, great).

#2: WE BOUGHT A HOUSE. This fact we kept Facebook quiet all summer. No one really knew, unless I chatted about it. There are so many things that can "go wrong" while buying a home, that we just preferred to keep quiet until we knew for sure. After our third house, and third offer, we settled on a two story in Milan. The home inspection was the week of our wedding... again, remember the being stressed statement. That was no joke. We close in a few days, and it is truly surreal. I am a married woman that owns her own business and we are purchasing our first home.

I am so grateful every day for all of it. When I feel sad or overwhelmed I just have to take a step back and look at everything I do have. A partner, a home, a life, and a job I love. What more do I need? Mom would argue a grand-baby but I just tell her she already has two furry ones from me, and to not get greedy.

Valentine's Day BOUDOIR Minis

I am truly excited to offer my first ever set of boudoir mini sessions, or "sexy sessions" as I like to call them. This is a great gift for your special someone for Valentine's Day.

Clients will be booked every hour, so there is a little wiggle room to enjoy some champagne and to change outfits, if needed. We will shoot for a half hour. These sessions are planned to take place in Milan at the Sleep Inn, just a 30 minute drive north on US 23 for my Toledo clients :)

My favorite part about these sessions is the way the final images are presented. How cool is it to open up a box and see a toy? Even adult men never outgrow this, trust me. I will process and color correct 20 images for you to choose from, and you will select your favorite 8 for the reel. If you are in love with all and want to add a second reel, it will only cost $25 extra. You will still receive all 20 digital files with the rights to print for other fun and sexy projects.

Things to consider: These sessions often make women uncomfortable. I know because I have done it. I have been where you are and understand how vulnerable you feel. I want to make you feel beautiful and confident and sexy. I will work your body into poses that show off your best assets and hide the parts that you are less than thrilled about.

Consider making a day of it. Go to the salon and get your hair done. Make sure those fingers and toes are freshly painted. Treat yourself to new lingerie. These are merely suggestions, but I SWEAR that it some how makes you feel more feminine. The number one thing I regret about the ones I did for myself.... why why why didn't I do my hair. WHY.

Make it more personal for you and your relationship. Big football fans... wear a jersey. Dating a fisherman or hunter... grab waders or camo. Brides-to-be can personalize their images with a veil, or their wedding shoes and jewelry. The possibilities are endless :)

Restrictions: I will not do true nudes. If there is a certain shot you want specifically, let's chat about it. Who doesn't love an excuse to go strolling through Victoria's Secret any way?

The only way to book a time slot is to pay for your mini in full. To reserve yours, email me at collneuphoto@gmail.com Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to having you! :)
